Leaving premises unattended can be worry as any property owner knows. When it is unattended it can be vulnerable to criminal acts or false alarms. Attending alarm activations, even if it is just a false alarm, can be daunting for individuals as they do not know what to expect when they get there. It could make for a risky situation.

Another problem area are activated alarms which remain unattended as they can be an advertisement that no one is home and are a potential magnet to burglars. This is where Assured 24 comes in. Once we are appointed your key holders there will be no need to impose on your employees, neighbours or friends to respond to potentially dangerous situations.

Our Alarm Response Service

Assured 24 will respond to alarm activations within 20 minutes. On arrival we will examine the situation, check your property and reset the alarm if it was a false activation. Recent changes in the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS) Policy regarding the Police response to intruder alarm systems:

There are three levels of response determined by the ACPOS policy:

  • Level One – priority
  • Level Two - desirable but dependent on resources
  • Level Three - no Police response (key holder attendance required)

If there are four false calls in a twelve-month period, response is reduced to Level Two. To return to Level One, the system problem must be rectified and remain false alarm free for three months. Where a further three false calls occur in the same twelve month period, Level Three occurs.
